Grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere with a distinct thirst for all things technology. After taking apart all the gadgets on the farm(and putting them back together), I moved to the city to pursue the dream of being an Engineer.

Worked with Hardware and Test Team to write automated production test program for DTU-236A, a QAM/8VSB/ASI USB probe. Moved to writing drivers for IP card in the MRD-4400/5800 with the Embedded Systems Team.
Customers would come to us in all sorts of different places in the design process. Some would have a prototype already complete, they needed us to complete a production ready device. On the other end, customers would have an idea of what their device will do but nothing designed. In that case, we'd design everything from the initial prototype to final production model.
Laying out boards, writing firmware in C, sourcing material and coordinating with the Production team were daily tasks.
The best gift I've received in recent years was a 3D printer. There's something almost magic in the way it creates precise, beautiful objects from what looks like weed whacker string. Jewelry is my specialty.
Currently on a project designing a generation RF therapy device. Device uses a dual ARM processor with FPGA on the same silicon along with a smart display running Linux.
